The Kinyras consortium led by J&P-Avax (45%), with French infrastructure and transport concessions group VINCI Concessions (40%) and Cybarco (15%), has been named preliminary preferred bidder for the motorway section linking Paphos to Polis. The project consists of a 30-year contract that includes the financing, design, construction and operation of a 31 km stretch of motorway, on the west coast of the island. The project is worth a total of EUR470 million, whereof EUR300 million in investment and EUR170 million in operation services. The work, to last four and a half years, will be carried out by a consortium consisting of J&P-Avax (60%), VINCI Construction Grands Projets (20%) and Cybarco (20%). This represents a total amount of EUR275 million and includes in particular the construction of nine viaducts and three tunnels: two twin-tube tunnels of 730 m and 290 m along with a 555 m single-tube on a connecting road.
